Urban Outdoor Adventure Initiative

The Urban Outdoor Adventure Initiative, a collaborative effort funded by Sport Ireland, Dormant Accounts, and supported by Leitrim Sports Partnership, brings together sports clubs, schools, community organizations, agencies, and NGBs. The initiatives aim is to open up exciting opportunities for people living in urban areas to get active through adventure sports.

Outdoor recreation programs have been making waves in disadvantaged communities, reaching at-risk youth groups, disadvantaged school groups, and individuals with disabilities across County Leitrim. The results speak for themselves, showing that these outdoor adventure experiences not only build confidence and skills but also help young people embrace challenges and manage risks effectively.
