Leitrim Sports Partnership is all about getting everyone, no matter their age or ability, to join in on the fun of physical activity. It's a fantastic way to boost your health while making new friends and having a great time.
Staying active is key to a healthy lifestyle and can improve your cardio fitness, muscular endurance, and bone strength. Plus, it reduces the risk of diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, while also enhancing mental and social well-being.
Physical activity truly adds life to years and years to life! For those over 55, it’s recommended to aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity, five days a week.
To support this, Leitrim Sports Partnership has created an exciting older adult program filled with a variety of activities that make it easy and enjoyable for everyone to get moving. Whether it’s swim lessons, aqua aerobics, walking programs, Go for Life games, or adapted circuit sessions, there’s something for everyone.
